Klaus, Dora, and Be be

These dogs are Klaus, Dora, and Be be(in order from top to bottom). They have all lived in kennels for most of their lives. Klaus is a very sweet dog and loves attention. Be be loves attention also. She needs somebody with patience to help her learn her basic commands, though she is getting better at them. Dora is very very playful, she loves to be around children, and loves to go on walks with people.

We are running short on time to find these dogs their furever homes.

Update on Brownie

Well Les, the man that adopted Brownie had some bad news about a week or two ago. He found out that he was allergic to dogs so he had to give Brownie back to our rescue. Brownie has been playing with the other dogs again as though he had never left us. Brownie still would like to find his fur-ever home. Another applicant sounds promissing, we are getting ready to do a home-inspection in a few days. Lets keep our fingers crossed......

Bruno

Lab mix. 8 months old
Bruno was brought to our rescue form the hills of Tennessee. His owner’s living situation was changed so they surrendered him to our rescue. He loves children. He was recently adopted by a family in New York State. They tell us that he is doing wonderfully at his new home and that he loves it there.

Yamaha

Lab/Pointer mix. 7 months old.
Yamaha’s previous owner’s hours got switched at work so Yamaha got left in a crate for 12 hours a day. Yamaha was a very active puppy. He is also a very loving puppy. He was adopted before Christmas to a very nice couple. His new owners told us that when he wants to go outside the rings bells by the door.

Molly

German Sheppard/Husky mix. 2 years old.
Molly came to us in early December. The people that took her realized that having 5 children and 3 other dogs that adding Molly to the mix was not a good idea. When Molly first meets someone she is very shy, it takes her a few minutes to warm up to you, but as soon as she knows that you are okay she melts your heart. Molly came to us as an extremely hyper dog. She also lacked in manners. Since she has been with us her manners have improved and she has gotten a lot calmer. She knows all of her basic commands, is crate trained, and is good around children, other dogs, and cats. She has a wonderful personality and would be a fantastic family dog.

Buddy

Pomeranian mix. 5 years old.
Buddy was surrendered when his owner passed away. He did not like any other dogs when he first came to our rescue. He has been with us since around Thanksgiving and has gotten very used the cats and other dogs in our rescue. He has started to lay with the others when we have down time. Buddy loves to go for rides in the car. He is crate trained and house broken. He would be great for an older person looking for a companion and low maintence dog. He is neutered and up to date with his shots.

UPDATE Buddy was adopted. By a very nice couple in Montrose Pa!!! Good Luck Buddy!!!

Griffin the schnauzer

Griffin is a 7 year old Schnauzer who's family gave up due to a child's illness. He is such a great dog. He thinks that he is the protector of the Universe. Griffin lets anyone know if someone is near. Loves his ears scratched and his belly rubbed. He is a great dog and anybody would be lucky to have him. He listens very well, and knows his commands.

Brownie

Brownie came to us before Christmas. He had been shuffled from several families no one wanting to deal with his ''issues". He was matted and in need of some TLC.. One of our volunteers offered to take him to the vet . He checked out fine!! Scheduled him for neutering and UTD with his shots!

Pat from Pamper Pet Groomed Brownie and he looked like a million bucks.. We have been diligently working on his issues which was house breaking and chewing.. And he has shown great improvements

Several inquires sounded promising for Brownie.. But when they heard of his down side no one wanted to take the chance..

Then Les came along, Les, a widower was looking for some companionship and Brownie caught his eye. He came down and met Brownie and they liked each other.

His glowing application made us here all excited.. Today Brownie went to his furever home.

He jumped in the car and was so excited ... Let's just hope
